Interview on France Inter

Dominique Marcel, CEO of the Compagnie des Alpes and President of Alliance France Tourisme, was interviewed on France Inter in "On n'arrête pas l'éco".

"FRENCH TOURISM SECTOR, TRICOLOUR MOUNTAINS: WE MUST ACT QUICKLY BECAUSE THE COMPETITION IS GOING TO GET WORSE! "

We must remember...

• Last year, our parks opened with strict protocols and a gauge that we imposed on ourselves... No health incidents
• This winter, winter sports and skiing opened in Switzerland with significant activity... No incidents
• We are looking at the horizon and we have already made a lot of efforts, we have mobilised, we have made demanding savings plans and the teams have done a great job.

So, what we are asking the government for is visibility and confidence that will allow us to act quickly, even though global competition in the sector is going to become more intense!

Concerning the #PlanMontagne and global warming:

• Don't be in denial, measure the impact, prioritise the areas where we will still be able to ski, so make choices
• Finally, diversify, because "all-skiing" is unsuitable but "no-skiing" is not viable. Find the right balance for the 4-season #mountain.
