On 12 December last, the Group signed its commitment to the initiative Entreprises engagées pour la Nature - Act4Nature France : a new initiative launched under the aegis of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, and which brings together companies that wish to make a concrete contribution to the preservation of ecosystems.
The aim is not only to implement a common charter made up of 10 principles, but also to define complementary actions, specific to our businesses, in order to reduce our pressure on biodiversity.

What is biodiversity?
It is the diversity of all living things on earth: diversity of environments, species or genetic diversity, but also all the relationships and interactions that exist between these environments, species and individuals.
What are these pressures?
Economic activities directly or indirectly generate pressures on ecosystems, which are generally grouped into five factors:
- land use change (e.g. artificialisation, soil impoverishment),
- overexploitation of natural resources,
- climate change,
- pollution (e.g. chemicals, waste),
- invasive alien species.
These pressures are a major factor in accelerating the erosion of biodiversity. They have a knock-on impact on human societies through their effects on pollination, the supply of raw materials, water purification, air quality, protection against extreme events, carbon sequestration....
One more commitment?
The French Biodiversity Office is leading the Act4Nature initiative. It will be able to accompany us, determine whether our actions are relevant and will ensure the assessment of the specific actions of each company after 2 years. In contrast to greenwashing, it is therefore a question of reducing our negative impacts in a measurable way.
Where are we today?
Like everything else we are trying to set up, it is better to have a few pragmatic and well-executed action plans than too many projects.
Working groups have already started or will be launched on our first themes:
- work sites and work on the Ski Areas
- the supply of catering services for Leisure Parks
