Compagnie des Alpes preparing to reopen all its sites

As of July 1, all Compagnie des Alpes leisure parks will be open.

These reopenings will be staggered over time in accordance with administrative authorisations and have already begun. Walibi Holland, which opened on 25 May, was the first site to welcome visitors, followed a few days later by Familypark in Austria (on 29 May).
Futuroscope and Chaplin's World in Vevey, Switzerland, will open their gates on Saturday, 13 June. This will be followed by the opening of Parc Astérix on 15 June, Grévin Paris on 18 June, and Walibi Rhône-Alpes on 20 June. Finally, if the Île-de-France region is upgraded to a green zone on 22 June, France Miniature will reopen on 26 June.

As for the sites in Belgium (Walibi Belgium and Aqualibi, Bellewaerde and the Aquapark), the authorities recently gave the go-ahead to reopen on 1 July.

The reopening of the leisure parks is a first step towards a normal resumption of operations.

The Group has worked with the industry's professional bodies to devise health safety plans allowing its sites to be reopened under conditions approved by the authorities. As the leisure parks are categorised as private-public outdoor facilities, each Group’s park has therefore implemented its flow management, and marketing, to ensure the success of these reopenings under the conditions of optimal health security for its visitors and employees.
Once the sites are open, visitors to the leisure parks will enjoy their very first experience of the new hotel at Parc Astérix “Les Quais de Lutèce”, new ride at Futuroscope “Objectif Mars” and new attractions and newly developed areas at Bellewaerde, Walibi Rhône-Alpes and Familypark.

As for ski areas, the Pissaillas glacier in Val d'Isère has been open since 6 June, as has the glacier at Les 2 Alpes. The first La Plagne village will open on 13 June (the others will open between 27 June and 4 July), then Tignes will open on 27 June. Lastly, Les Arcs, Les Menuires, Méribel and all the Grand Massif resorts will open on 4 July.

Commenting on these reopenings, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dominique Marcel said: "Keenly aware of our responsibilities, we are delighted to see our sites gradually re-open. We have been extremely active inside and outside the Group to make this happen, and I want to thank everyone who has worked hard to ensure that reopenings run as smoothly as possible. We are now ready to welcome the public and we hope that visitors will soon be keen and excited to come enjoy our sites. The tireless efforts made by Compagnie des Alpes in the last few years to make its sites more appealing, to introduce digital tools and to further improve customer satisfaction are now major assets that will help us to rebound quickly."
