CDA is continuing the theming of Walibi Rhône-Alpes and the development of its Festival City area: after Mystic this year, the Vaudou District will soon welcome Airboat, a brand new family attraction.
Designed by the specialist Italian company Zamperla, at a height of 10 metres, it pivots on a vertical axis, while its arms swing in circular movements at 13 revolutions per minute. Passengers fly through the air, while the arms move in opposite directions.
The opening of AirBoat is announced for June 2020 and will be part of the expansion strategy for the Festival City area. The park is thus pursuing its investment plan to develop and theme 75% of its spaces by 2022-2023, and to reach a target of 600,000 annual visitors.
