The Col de la Loze is an unavoidable link in the ski area in the winter, and for the last 2 years it has also been a popular route for cyclists thanks to its cycle path which culminates at 2305m. The Tour de France will stop there in 2020...
It will be the 2020 event in Méribel: the arrival of the Tour de France in the valley, for what promises to be one of the highlights of the Tour de France and may be the birth of a mythical pass. And it is therefore the time for the teams to come and reconnoitre the route, as was the case this week for Julian Alaphilippe and his two team-mates, who are posing in the setting of "La Reine des neiges 2", partner of the 3 Vallées ski area last winter.
The Tour de France cycling teams are starting to spot the climb of the Col de la Loze in preparation for the stage on Wednesday, September 16.
Julian Alaphilippe (winner of two stages, wearer of the yellow jersey until the penultimate stage and 5th in the classification of the Tour 2019) and two of his teammates missed the team of Méribel Alpina Saulire sector which was also preparing this stage...
Indeed, the next day took place the heliportage of the pendulums on Saulire 1 to quadruple the flow on the downhill side and thus to welcome more spectators on the day of the passage of the Tour (and then later to facilitate the returns at the end of the day and in the evening after the events at the Folie Douce). An operation that was carried out smoothly!
